In Reading the article "art vs design" I found that when it comes to either one of them it is hard to see an actual dividing line between them sometimes when thinking about it in my own experiences.  For example, I like to draw. Whenever I have taken a drawing class you are always given some sort of beginners step by step process on how to create something.  As time goes on you need those parameters less and less and are able to create a piece of art solely based on your own creativity.  I have designed websites and other graphic design projects that do have specifics rules in place to get to my end result but I was the one that was able to set those boundaries not someone else just as an artist does.  Everyone has there own style when it comes to painting, drawing, sculpting or any kind of digital work and thats where those two connect.

Dr. Raul had to overcome quite a few obstacles to become successful.  When it comes to creativity there is a point being made that todays generation has less creativity due to the enormement amount of electronic devices that are in circulation nowadays.  Kids today are always on there phones, laptops, ipads etc.  They aren't taking the time to experience art and creativity without a screen in front of them and that is hindering there ability to be creative.  I am partially guilty of this in some ways.  I have had to step out of my comfort zone and try to learn different avenues to get to a similar result when it comes to my projects.  Not everything has to be done digitally.  You have to broaden your way of thinking and think outside the box.  You have to have a passion for something.  Thats how you will be successful in whatever you do.  Getting out into the world and experiencing anything first hand is going to be a lot more inspiring than viewing something on a computer screen.  Find something that motivates you to get out there and make things happen because no ones going to do it for you.

Alanis Moressette is one of my favorite artists from the nineties.  A very popular album of hers was "Jagged Little Pill". Shes continued to make albums up until now and has transitioned from real instruments to everything completely done electronically.  Her last album was done with a some guitar parts and the rest with studio artists recreating her songs with synthetic means.  Blink 182 is a Punk Band of the ninties.  I chose Blink 182 because they are a band I used to listen to when I was in Middle School and High School.  They use many mainly guitars, drums and amps when they are performing live and in the studio.  They are a mix of punk rock and pop music and were apparently a big contributor to the pop punk era.  Skrillex is a current dubstep/EDM artist that uses all electronic equipment in his performances and very elaborate lighting as well.  Ive seen him in concert and really enjoy the way he creates his stage presence.  He start...

Angel de Quinta’s STAGE DOOR Blog

I really liked watching the clips from "The Color Purple".  They did a really good job with costumes when they made certain characters stand out with flashier clothes and others with neutral plain colors. I think this was done to emphasis a character more in a scene than others while performing a musical number. The music was very soulful and had a specific message.  I really wanted to listen to what they were saying and not just listen to music itself.  Then there was watching Liza Minelli at the Tony Awards in 1978.  She wore a really flashy outfit along with her backup dancers.  She threw in some tap dancing and was very charismatic.  She really had fun with the performance and looked like she was having a lot of fun.  The dance was very well synchronized, everyone moved really well together. The scene from Grease was fun to watch.  They did a really good job with costume design.  All the guys were wearing leather jackets and had slick...
